Jennifer Wood is a Scottish-born artist living in Hove. She studied art at the John Cass College in Whitechapel and then at the Byam Shaw, London. She had her first solo exhibition in Edinburgh in 1989 before moving to the South of France where the landscape and clear light made a significant impact on her work. She now paints figures, landscapes and flowers using mixed media allowing the memory of light and colour to bring energy to her work. She also makes large charcoal drawings from the life figure. Her work has been shown widely in both England and Scotland.
