“My interest in figure drawing goes back to my time at Brighton Art College in the early 80s, where I studied illustration and attended weekly life classes until graduating in 1984. Since then I have been working as an illustrator for a wide variety of clients in the UK and overseas, in publishing, advertising, music, games, packaging, branding and other sectors. I finally resumed formal life drawing in 2011; happily, it is once again a firmly established part of my weekly routine and has become increasingly central to my artistic identity and continues to inform and influence other aspects of my work.”
